Walex is a family-run business that a father and son created in their kitchen and grew into a worldwide industry leader.
Walex has expanded tremendously since Bill and Bob Williams created the company’s first product, PT-50, in their kitchen nearly four decades ago. However, we proudly remain a privately owned, founder-led company that can work quickly and respond to our customers’ needs without anything getting in the way. We invest in engineering, research, customer support, and design.
The Walex competitive edge is our people. We strive to create an environment where each team member wants to come to work and feels that they have an opportunity to contribute, grow, and benefit from our company’s success. As a result, many team members have been with the company for decades. In fact, We’ve retained our first-ever employees and our first customer to this day.

In our industry’s early days, holding tank deodorizers were only available in liquid form. Walex’s innovative research and development team saw an opportunity to create an equally effective formula contained in an easy-to-use drop-in packet. Our flagship drop-in, Porta-Pak, is now the best-selling deodorizing packet worldwide.
We launched Porta-Pak in the portable sanitation market but discovered applications in other industries that utilize holding tanks, such as RV, Marine, Luxury Coach, and Airline.
